Some pics from our first day of serving

Sasha became an art teacher today, specializing in how to draw animals.

We also started scraping paint off one of the recently purchased ministry houses.

And about those showers that just got installed...they aren't quite ready yet so we improvised.

Off to a good start

We are all settled in.

We made it to Benton Harbor safely and we are all settled and ready for our first night. Upon arrival we were able to meet the Pastor of Lighthouse ministries to get a snapshot into their ministry and the surrounding community.  After a delicious chicken fajita dinner we took a short driving tour of the Benton Harbor and St. Joseph area.  It was an eye opening experience to this community. Tomorrow we will be serving with the summer day camp for kids at lighthouse ministries.  We hope  to update with pictures tomorrow.  Thanks for your prayers!

Benton Harbor...TODAY!

In just a few hours, the Middle School Mission Team will be headed to Benton Harbor.

This is the journal we have been reading to prepare us for serving; today we get to go one step further in doing the work of Christ, loving as Christ loves, and walking as his disciples.
